Hello Jens,

After updating the Joy-Pi software to 3.1.0 the application is not starting anymore and seems to be in a loop, it says Loading application and the hourglass keeps on running forever!!!!

Already re-installed it again but same problem.

Thanks

Hello Eddy,

can you specify what exact Hardware you are running?

Are you using a Joy-Pi Note or Joy-Pi Advanced? Which Raspberry Pi have you installed? What version of Raspberry Pi OS have you installed?

Best regards,
Jens

Hello Eddy,

have you flipped the "Sensor Connect" switch on the mainboard of your Joy-Pi Note?

Could you please send a screenshot of the result of the following command?

sudo i2cdetect -y 1

Hello Jens,

The switch is in the correct position 'A Connect sensor'.

Here's the screenshot of sudo i2cdetect -y 1

Hello Eddy,

thank you very much, unfortunately I was not able to reproduce you problem.

Could you try installing a new Raspberry Pi OS on your SD card and install the software again?

Best regards,
Jens

Hi Jens

Installed the latest OS version 12 (bookworm)  and the Joy-PI software is now running again. The only thing I noticed during the installation of the libraries, I got several warnings, but the screen was scrolling too fast to read it, It seems that the warning messages have something to do with the PIP command which isn't used anymore in lOS version 12 I think.

Still no idea why the Joy-Pi software isn't running on version 11, but ok it's working again on version 12.

Kind regards

Eddy
