Software (Raspberry Pi OS, Joy-Pi Advanced & Joy-Pi Note)

To install the latest version of the Joy-Pi software, please install the Raspberry Pi OS on your SD card first.

Then start your Joy-Pi Advanced, open a terminal window and enter the following commands to install:


curl https://joy-pi.net/Joy-Pi-install.sh -o Joy-Pi-install.sh
chmod +x Joy-Pi-install.sh
./Joy-Pi-install.sh

Attention! With the latest Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm, there may currently be problems with the SPI interface. The SPI interface may be displayed as active even though it is not. If problems occur in connection with the SPI devices, please deactivate the SPI interface, restart the system, reactivate the SPI interface and restart the system again.

Please also note that the Scratch software is currently not compatible with the new Raspberry Pi Bookworm OS.

Minimum requirements

Raspberry Pi 4 with at least 2 GB RAM
Raspberry Pi OS (Bullseye) 64-bit / 32-bit
